About this board game
Robin Hood is a two-player game of medieval movement, combat, and role-playing set in England, with an approximate play time of 120 minutes. One player commands the forces of the Sheriff of Nottingham, while the other leads Robin Hood and his band of merry men.
Robin of Loxley returns from the Crusades to find his lands taken and his people taxed by the Sheriff and his enforcer, the Black Knight. Choosing to become an outlaw and champion of the common people, Robin contests the Sheriff’s power across the castles and villages of Nottingham and the deep woods of Sherwood Forest.
Each side has its own strengths and weaknesses. The Sheriff’s forces include Knights, Normans, pikemen, archers, and leaders, led by the Black Knight. Opposing them are Robin Hood and his merry men, fighting to support their cause in a struggle where gold can be gained or lost in many ways.
- Command medieval military forces in movement and combat.
- Play legendary characters including Robin Hood, the Sheriff, and Marian.
- Capture, rescue, or execute characters as the conflict unfolds.
- Compete to gain the most gold for your side’s cause.
The game combines the contest of armies with a distinctive role-playing element. Characters can take part in medieval movement and combat while also facing the dramatic consequences of capture, rescue, and execution.
Released in 2019 as part of the Legends and Myths game series, Robin Hood brings the enduring folklore of the outlaw archer and champion of the common people to the tabletop. The opposing causes of good and evil meet in a rich struggle designed to invite repeated play.
