Rock Hard: 1977 is a board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes, in which aspiring musicians compete to become the best new artist of the year.

Set in 1977, the game follows your band through the months from April to December. Over a maximum of nine rounds, you will need to plan how to spend your time as you build a reputation and pursue the fame that can take you to the top.

Players develop their bands by rehearsing, playing gigs, writing songs, and promoting their music. Careful planning and a little luck can help you improve your reputation, chops, and songs while creating opportunities to earn even more fame.

Designed by Jackie Fox, a member of the 1970s rock band The Runaways, Rock Hard: 1977 brings a distinctive perspective to its musical setting. Illustrated by Jennifer Giner, it supports 2–5 players aged 14 and up and was released in 2024.
