Runebound (Third Edition): Fall of the Dark Star – Scenario Pack is a scenario pack for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 180 minutes. It introduces a substantially different adventure in which the heroes struggle to survive a corrupted Terrinoth.

The coming of the dark star has long been foretold by Terrinoth’s dark prophets. When it falls, an age of darkness is said to begin, heralded by a rain of dark shards that corrupt every stout and honorable soul.

Fall of the Dark Star adds an entirely new scenario to Runebound. As the heroes search for the dark shards falling from the heavens, a new deck of story cards continues to raise the stakes and shape the unfolding struggle.

• Thirty new adventure cards: ten for each of the three archetypes.
• New dangers, including the opportunity to battle a Starborn Specter.
• A journey to the Howling Valley in search of a fallen dark shard.
• A new hero, Zyla, a being from the Aenlong realm.

Zyla’s otherworldly powers have led her to become a hero of Terrinoth, giving players a distinctive new character to bring into their games. Her arrival accompanies a scenario focused on corruption, falling shards, and the dark star’s foretold coming.

Released in 2016, this scenario pack expands the Runebound experience with a focused narrative and a dramatically altered version of Terrinoth. Whether confronting supernatural threats or pursuing shards across the corrupted land, players face a rising story in Fall of the Dark Star.
