About this expansion

Saloon Tycoon: Dead or Alive Expansion is a 2018 expansion for 2–4 players that adds four modular mini-expansions to Saloon Tycoon and Saloon Tycoon: The Ranch Expansion, with games lasting about 60 minutes.

Each mini-expansion can be used on its own or combined with the others in any mix. Before setup, add the new tiles to the tile supply, add the characters to the Character card pool, and shuffle the new Open and Secret Claim cards into their matching decks.

• Tombstone Mini Expansion: Build a funeral parlor to bring Dr. Morbius, the town undertaker, into your saloon and prevent others from interfering with your characters. Complete the cemetery to immediately put another character in the ground permanently.
• Gubernment Mini Expansion: The Mayor’s Office attracts Mayor Meyer, increasing your prestige and points. Completing the Telegraph Office lets you collect a character that is not currently in the game.
• Rodeo Mini Expansion: The Rodeo provides valuable Ranch points, while the Petting Zoo gives you a location to hold additional animals.
• Open & Secret Claim Cards Mini Expansion: Add new claim cards along with Abby West, Ranch Boss, and Tex Montana.

Abby West may be taken instead of a ranch hand when you build the bunkhouse tile, and she is worth 1 reputation point for every animal you have at the end of the game. The first player to build a ranch house attracts Tex Montana, who drains either a Ranch point or a gold each turn.

Packaged separately from The Ranch Expansion box, Saloon Tycoon: Dead or Alive Expansion was offered as a Kickstarter reward during that expansion’s campaign. Its mix-and-match content lets you tailor the added characters, buildings, animals, and claims to each game.
