About this board game

Samsara is a two-player board game with a playing time of about 30 minutes, built around continuous movement on a circuit of two tracks. Each player must recognize their opportunities and use clever track changes to reach their own target space.

The board’s circuit represents a constantly turning path. All playing pieces move continually in a loop, while their starting positions are placed on the inner track. However, a player’s target space can only be reached through the outer track, making the decision to change tracks the central challenge of the game.

Samsara introduces a distinctive movement technique that allows pieces to switch from one track to the other. Timing these changes tactically is essential: players must assess the possibilities available to them and choose a route that leads toward their own destination.

Named after the Sanskrit word for “constant wandering,” Samsara also evokes the eternal cycle or wheel of life. The circular board layout reflects this theme as every playing piece travels along a closed path.
