About this board game
Schollen Rollen is a dice-driven fishing game for 2–8 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Players roll dice to capture colored fish from a central pool, building a catch in their net while trying to finish with the most points.
On your turn, roll the dice and collect a fish for each die rolled. Yellow fish are worth 1 point, while red fish are worth 5, giving every catch a choice between steady progress and valuable prizes. Special effects shown on the dice can dramatically change the outcome of a roll.
- Double, quadruple, or even octuple the number of fish you collect.
- Steal fish from another player’s net.
- Lock dice so they cannot be re-rolled.
After each roll, you decide whether to end your turn and keep your catch or re-roll the available dice in pursuit of more fish. This push-your-luck decision is central to Schollen Rollen: continuing may produce a much larger haul, but a roll that catches nothing causes all the fish in your net to escape and ends your turn.
As the central pool gradually empties, every roll becomes part of the race for points. Once all the fish have been caught, the game ends, and the player with the highest score wins. With its combination of dice rolling, special effects, stealing, and risk-taking, Schollen Rollen turns a simple fishing theme into a contest of timing and nerve.
