About this board game

SCOPE Stalingrad is a fast, tactical game for 2–4 players, set during the Battle of Stalingrad, with matches lasting around 15 minutes. Players command sniper teams on opposing sides and compete to eliminate enemy snipers or troops for scenario-specific points.

Each player creates a hidden Front by placing Area Cards face down in a rectangular matrix. You may inspect your own cards at any time, but enemy positions remain concealed. The game combines strategy, bluffing, and deduction as you search for targets while trying to avoid revealing your own snipers.

On a basic turn, choose one action: Move the four cards in any 2×2 Quadrant, or Search by revealing an enemy Area Card. If it contains a Sniper or Unit, you can shoot and remove it for scoring. Decoys force a shot without being removed, adding another layer of uncertainty.

Every shot creates danger. Place a Shot Card on the Quadrant from which the sniper fired; it marks the loud report and remains there until the start of that player’s next turn. A player wins by eliminating all opposing Snipers or reaching the chosen scenario’s Objective Points.

Advanced Mode expands the choices available through allied Units, while keeping the one-action-per-turn structure.

  • Officer: provides an extra Move action when revealed.
  • Scout: reveals two adjacent cards without allowing a shot.
  • Mortar: can eliminate any card, including a Decoy.
  • Machine Gun: shoots at adjacent cards and stops Infantry assaults.
  • Infantry: invades the enemy Front and returns as reinforcements after elimination.

With team-based rules for 3–4 players and multiple difficulty levels, SCOPE Stalingrad offers quick, replayable sniper battles that are easy to learn and difficult to master.
