Sea of Thieves: Voyage of Legends is a competitive 4X tabletop game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 120 minutes. Set sail as a nefarious pirate and race your rivals to earn enough reputation to become a Pirate Legend.

Build your reputation in a variety of ways. Fulfil bounties, follow treasure maps, raid forts, hunt enemies, or complete contracts for the trading companies. Earn coin and spend it on special crew and larger ships as you develop your fleet.

• Explore a randomized playing area with changing locations, enemies, events, and special crew.
• Battle hostile skeletal foes aboard ancient ships and at foreboding forts.
• Stay alert for terrifying sea monsters, including the kraken and megalodon.
• Use cards that can be played at any time to stay engaged throughout the game.

Turns use a straightforward action economy designed to keep play intuitive, quick, and flowing. With no safe or fixed bases, every player sails the same seas around the central outpost and must constantly watch for attacks from rivals and other threats.

At the end of each round, a fortune card system helps players who are falling behind, keeping the contest close until the final moments. Since the board, discoveries, enemies, and events are randomized each game, every voyage offers new challenges before player decisions even shape the adventure.
