About this expansion
Sea Salt & Paper: Extra Pepper is a 2025 board game for 2–4 players, with a listed play time of 45 minutes. Each round, new cards add a new condition to the game.
These changing conditions can be either a bonus or a malus. Rather than playing every round under exactly the same terms, players face a condition that can influence who benefits when the round ends.
At the end of each round, the condition is kept by the player with the highest or lowest score. The relevant result depends on the condition introduced during that round, making the score comparison an important part of resolving it.
The core structure is clearly defined: new cards add the round’s condition, players complete the round, and the condition is then assigned according to the highest or lowest score. This repeating format gives the game a changing framework across its rounds without requiring every round to use the same bonus or malus.
For groups of two to four players, the 45-minute play time provides a defined session length for exploring these shifting conditions. The result is a game built around round-by-round changes, score comparisons, and the consequences attached to the condition in play.
Sea Salt & Paper: Extra Pepper presents its central idea in a concise form: every round introduces something new, and the end-of-round score determines who keeps that round’s effect.
