About this board game

SEEKRIEG 5 is a naval combat miniature rules system for 2–10 players, with an approximately 120-minute play time, covering warfare from 1880 through 1945.

Designed for the age of the battleship, the game brings together surface warships, air operations, merchant vessels, and submarines in one comprehensive volume. Its rules and reference material span the technological and operational changes of the entire era.

The 118-page rulebook is supported by 100 pages of data tables covering weather, torpedoes, radar, and aircraft. A 30-page Damage Effects book and 40 pages of heavy-stock game charts provide additional tools for resolving and tracking naval engagements.

  • Rules and data for naval combat from 1880 to 1945
  • Weather, torpedo, radar, and aircraft reference tables
  • Color game markers plus movement and turn rulers
  • Ship logs for historical and hypothetical scenarios
  • Forms for air operations, carrier operations, and flag commands

The included CD-ROMs contain 15 scenarios ranging from Yalu in 1894 to the Komandorski Islands in 1943. They include order of battle sheets, maps, and more than 250 individual Ship Logs, along with over 600 Ship Logs for merchant vessels and additional game aids in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

SEEKRIEG 5 is supplied shrink-wrapped and un-boxed, with loose-leaf, three-hole-punched components intended for storage in a standard ring binder. Released in 2004, it offers a broad reference-driven framework for exploring naval warfare throughout the battleship era.
