About this board game

Seven7s is a fast-playing card game for 2–4 players, listed with a 20-minute play time and designed by Jason Tagmire. As #7 in the E-G-G Series of small box games, it offers surprising depth in a compact format and can be played in under 10 minutes.

Players work together to build a community tableau made up of seven columns. Each column represents one of the game’s seven card types, creating a shared structure where every play affects the developing game and the opportunities available to everyone.

  • 7 Ages of Man
  • 7 Colors of the Rainbow
  • 7 Deadly Sins
  • 7 Holy Virtues
  • 7 Lucky Gods
  • 7 Seas
  • 7 Wonders of the World

At the beginning, each player receives a starting hand of three cards, and one face-up card starts the first column. On a turn, play one card from your hand into the matching column, or begin a new column if that type has not appeared. Then activate the card’s unique ability and draw back up to three cards.

The game ends as soon as the seventh card is played into a column. That final card is placed sideways and counts toward the hand of the player who played it. Everyone then scores the total value of the cards in their hand, and the player with the most points wins.

With seven distinct card types and a unique ability for each type, Seven7s combines simple turns with meaningful choices. Decide when to develop a column, when to use an ability, and how to shape your hand before endgame scoring begins.
