About this board game

Shadow House: Masquerade is a fast-paced card game for 3–8 players that plays in about 20 minutes.

Players are guests at a gracious aristocrat’s mansion, gathered for a dinner party that takes a horrifying turn. When Viscount Shadow is found dead, the butler secures every door and window, leaving everyone in the house under suspicion.

The culprit is still hiding among the gathered guests, and the central challenge is to identify and catch them. For the culprit, the goal is to remain concealed until the last turn, when they can steal the precious gems.

  • Fast-paced card game for 3–8 players
  • A mansion-wide murder mystery with every person under suspicion
  • A race to hide the culprit and steal the precious gems
  • The option to pass the culprit identity card to another player and catch them later

The culprit has more than one way to survive the investigation. They can attempt to stay hidden through the final turn, or pass the culprit identity card to another player, creating an opportunity to catch that player later.

That shifting identity makes each moment important as players try to trap the culprit before the gems can be stolen. With its enclosed mansion setting, urgent investigation, and simple central objective, Shadow House: Masquerade delivers a compact mystery experience built around suspicion and deception.
