Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria: Kickstarter Edition is a competitive game for 1–5 players with an approximately 75-minute play time. As a Warden, you must gather troops, strengthen your war machine, and outwit rival Wardens to claim command of the Shadow Kingdoms.

Move your Warden to a new location each turn and visit the five Shrines to gain minions, magic, gems, and gold. When you enter a Shrine, take an available die and then perform that Shrine’s associated action. Use your troop dice at your Camp to resolve Battle Plans and place Victory tokens on your Campaign board.

Five troop types are represented by colored dice: Goblins, Orcs, Skeletons, Gargoyles, and Gnolls. Complete Battle Plans by assembling the required forces, then send your monsters into battle to conquer the lands and earn Victory Points. The player with the most Victory Points at the end of the game wins.

The Kickstarter Edition includes Rise of Titans, four advanced expansion modules packaged inside the base-game box:

• Shrine of the Titans: Add a sixth Shrine where the highest-value Troop die from each battle is stored, then buy up to three dice from it.
• Great Battles: Compete together on oversized Battle Plan cards, adding matching dice and Participation Markers to earn shares of their rewards.
• Ancient Spells: Use cards with powerful free actions to augment your regular turn, dice, and other effects.
• Wraith Dice: Add weaker purple dice that provide flexible wild troops for Battle Plans and Great Battles without occupying a Troop slot.

With dice drafting, tactical Shrine visits, battle planning, and optional advanced modules, Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria offers several ways to build your forces and pursue the highest score.
