Shallow Regrets: Lingering Remorse is a 6-card expansion for a 15-minute fishing game for 2–4 players, released in 2025.

Much as you might like to forget them, these bizarre creatures stick like hooks in the back of your mind. The expansion adds an assortment of bewildering fish that complicate your fishing plans and encourage you to adapt to your current collection.

Unlike the creatures in the core game, the new expansion creatures feature lingering effects. These ongoing abilities remain active unless the creature is exhausted, making each addition an important consideration as your collection develops.

• Add the 6 expansion cards to the core 18-card game.
• Shuffle the combined deck before dealing the shoals.
• Deal 6 shoals, or 8 shoals when including a 4th player.
• Play as normal while managing the expansion creatures’ ongoing effects.

With support for a fourth player, Lingering Remorse brings more competition for the best catches. The expanded player count adds another contender to the same quick fishing experience, while the lingering abilities create new complications to account for during play.
