About this board game
Shell Shock! is a 2–4-player World War II Europe combat and adventure game with a listed play time of 360 minutes, released in 1990. Adapted from the solitaire game Ambush!, it places players in command of opposing infantry forces across six missions.
One player commands a squad of German infantry, while the other commands American, British, or Soviet troops. Players determine the composition of their squads, choosing men, weapons, and equipment before the mission begins.
Each side can also purchase Light and Heavy supports to assist its forces. Available support includes foxholes, barbed wire, and artillery support, adding important choices to the preparation for battle.
Every playing of Shell Shock! is different. The intensity of the battle, mission objectives, available forces, and weather can change from one mission to another, creating varied circumstances across the six scenarios.
