About this board game

Sherlock: La copia is a 2020 mystery game for 1–8 players that takes about 60 minutes to play. Your team of detectives must investigate a possible counterfeiting case at Sotheby’s auction house and discover who is responsible, how the forgery was created, and why.

The case unfolds through 32 clue cards. Players reveal the information one card at a time, placing cards on the table so everyone can read or see them. Reading shared information aloud helps the entire team follow the developing investigation and connect the details.

Not every clue is useful. If you play a card that turns out to be irrelevant, it can cost points at the end of the game, while other clues are vital to solving the case. You can discuss theories at any time and talk about the cards in your hand, but you cannot show those cards to the other players. Only bold words or text framed inside an image may be read aloud from hidden cards.

When all clue cards have been revealed or discarded, the team reviews the available information and prepares a shared theory of what happened. During this final stage, players may freely discuss discarded cards and any information they remember. Each correct answer adds two points, rewarding careful deduction and attention throughout the investigation.
