About this board game

Shiftago is a strategic board game for 2–4 players with a playing time of around 45 minutes, featuring 88 glass marbles and three game variations.

The aim is clear: make a line out of marbles in your colour. To bring a marble into play, slide it onto the board from any one of the board’s edges. Each incoming marble changes the position of the marbles already on the board, pushing them one space further along.

The movement is governed by an important restriction: no marble may fall off the opposite side of the board. Every slide therefore requires attention to the available space and to how the position develops after the push.

Shiftago also includes the variations Shiftago Expert and Shiftago Extreme. In these variations, marbles can be removed from lines that have already been formed, changing the position after a line is created.

Removing marbles creates spaces and opens new possibilities, but it can also introduce new dangers. The result is a game where forming a line is only part of the challenge: the changing arrangement of marbles remains central to every move.
