About this board game

Shuffle Heroes is a card game for two players that plays in about 30 minutes, set in a fantasy steampunk world filled with Lovecraftian monstrosities.

At the start of each game, players draft two heroes and shuffle their cards together to create a draw deck. This keeps deck construction fast and easy while offering many possible combinations of heroes and cards.

On your turn, choose one of three straightforward actions:

• Play a card
• Activate your hero
• Replenish your hand

Although the basic gameplay is easy to follow, the right sequence of plays can let you chain effects together for devastating outcomes. Each decision can shape the cards available to you and your opponent in the turns ahead.

Your ultimate goal is to defeat the enemy heroes. You can do this by reducing their health to zero, or by wearing them down through a different route: destroying cards from their deck.

This second approach is the game’s defining deck deconstruction mechanic. During the game, you decide which cards to destroy from your opponent’s deck, directly influencing what they can draw on future turns. Removing important options can change the way the opposing deck functions as the battle continues.

With its quick hero drafting, combined draw decks, and meaningful card destruction, Shuffle Heroes offers a focused two-player experience where building your deck and taking it apart are both central to victory.
