About this board game

Shuuro is a two-player game of creative chess with an approximate play time of 30 minutes. Before every game, each player chooses their own chess army, creating a different set of pieces for each side.

This flexible setup changes the familiar chess experience from the start. Rather than using an identical army every time, players begin with their chosen combination of pieces and face a board where the obstacles can also change position.

The shifting obstacles ensure that every game presents new challenges. The changing layout works alongside the player-selected armies to create a fresh version of the game each time you play, while keeping the central identity of chess at its core.
