About this board game

Siberian Manhunt is a two-player asymmetrical hidden-movement game with an approximately 120-minute play time, released in 2025. One player becomes a U-2 spy plane pilot stranded behind enemy lines; the other commands the Soviet pursuit.

The fugitive must cross the dangerous Siberian landscape and reach the border with China. Survival is as important as staying hidden, with predatory animals, starvation, and hypothermia threatening the pilot throughout the escape.

Choosing a route is a constant gamble. The pilot may enter towns, where local authorities could detect them, or venture into the wilderness and depend on their survival skills. Every decision must balance speed, concealment, and the need to stay alive.

The Soviet general has the full power of the USSR available for the hunt. KGB agents and Yakut trackers search for signs of the fugitive, while the Red Army, aerial searches, road blocks, and propaganda campaigns help tighten the net.

  • Asymmetrical gameplay: the pilot and Soviet general pursue different objectives and use different capabilities.
  • Hidden movement: the fugitive must navigate without revealing their position.
  • Wilderness survival: predators, starvation, and hypothermia make the journey across Siberia dangerous.
  • A tense pursuit: Soviet resources are powerful, but the government is fickle and not everyone is loyal.

In Siberian Manhunt, the hunted may be more dangerous than the hunter. Can the pilot use wit and wilderness skills to survive the journey, or will the Soviet pursuit end the escape before the border is reached?
