About this board game
Siggil is a card game for 1 to 4 players that takes about 20 minutes, challenging players to untie a magical seal and capture the spirits locked within it.
Each game uses seven families of seven cards, with cards numbered from 1 to 7, alongside seven unique spirit cards. Every spirit is associated with a family and a number, creating the combinations needed to capture them.
- Seven families of seven numbered cards
- Seven unique spirit cards
- Several suggested Siggil layouts, including The Pass, The Turtle, and The Pyramids
- Rules for a solitary game
All the cards, including the spirits, are thoroughly shuffled before being placed level by level. They overlap one another, with cards positioned face down and face up according to the chosen Siggil form. This creates the magical seal from which the spirits must escape.
On a turn, a player draws a card from the Siggil and adds it to their hand. When a spirit escapes the seal, players can attempt to capture it by playing the right combination of cards from their hands.
The game continues as players collect spirits and compete for control of them. At the end of the game, the winner is the first player who controls more spirits than the others. With layouts such as The Pass, The Turtle, and The Pyramids, Siggil also provides a solitary mode for playing alone.
