About this board game

Silent Victory: U.S. Submarines in the Pacific, 1941-45 is a solitaire tactical-level game for 1–2 players with an approximately 180-minute play time. You command an American submarine during World War II in the Pacific, seeking to destroy Japanese shipping and warships while ensuring your boat and crew make it home.

Each patrol presents difficult decisions. You must manage the risks of pursuing targets while advancing your crew quality and earning decorations. Patrols take you to different areas of the Pacific as the war progresses, creating a campaign of changing circumstances for your submarine commander.

The game features the major U.S. Fleet submarine types in service, with details covering their period of service, armaments, crew makeup, damage capacity, and more. These differences help define the submarine under your command as you face the demands of each patrol.

Silent Victory uses a game engine built on the successful Hunters design, offering a brisk yet intensive experience. Its focus is on tactical choices, target selection, risk management, and the constant requirement to balance success at sea with the need to return safely.
