Small Samurai Empires: Rise of Tokugawa is an expansion for Small Samurai Empires for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Released in 2023, it brings the rise of House Tokugawa and the threat of all-out war between rival daimyos to the forefront.

As the houses prepare for conflict, nowhere is completely safe—not even within the walls of a great castle. Players train their Samurai to become invincible warriors, then deploy their forces as they prepare for glorious battles, siege, and the pursuit of glory and honor.

Rise of Tokugawa expands the game with content designed to support both larger and solo play. It includes a 5th player and a solo mode, offering new ways to experience the struggle between the houses.
