About this board game

Solitaire for Two is a two-game collection for 1–4 players, with approximately 45 minutes of play and a 2001 release. It combines a six-suit take on Klondike with a competitive solitaire game in which players race to score points from shared tile-play challenges.

In Six-Suit Solitaire, players try to remove every tile from play by creating stacks from Ace to King. The game uses six suits instead of Klondike’s four, along with three jokers, one in each color. Its strategy changes the usual priorities: keeping Aces in play can expand the tiles that may be moved to empty columns.

With one Ace in play, Queens can be moved to empty columns in addition to Kings. With two or more Aces in play, Jacks may also be moved there. Players can place only the rightmost tile from the exposed row beside the stock, called the talon, unless they cash in a joker to move any talon tile into the rightmost position.

The second game, also called Solitaire for Two, can be played with 2–4 players despite its name. Players take turns drawing three tiles from the stock, placing them into the layout, and trying to score as many tiles as possible.

  • Score points for each tile laid off.
  • Earn points for playing all three tiles drawn.
  • Gain points for moving columns of five, seven, nine, or eleven tiles.
  • Look for other specialized scoring situations.

With two related formats in one box, Solitaire for Two offers a choice between a solo-style tableau puzzle and a turn-based competition. The player with the highest score wins the multiplayer game.
