About this expansion

Space Hulk: Genestealer Expansion is a 1990 expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. It adds psychic combat, new forces, weapons, missions, and floor plans to the Space Hulk system.

This is not a complete game; a copy of Space Hulk is required. The expansion introduces Warpspace and psykers, putting Terminator Librarians and Grey Knights against psychic Genestealer Hybrids.

Fifteen finely sculpted plastic Citadel miniatures are included: five Marine Librarians in psychically attuned Terminator Aegis suits, armed with force axes and Nemesis force halberds, plus ten Genestealer Hybrids with separate arms and weapons. The Hybrids include an autocannon, conversion beamer, and missile launcher.

Psychic combat is driven by 44 psychic combat cards. Psykers can use devastating powers to unleash arcing lightning, summon vortices of raw warp energy, teleport through the hulk, release blast waves of hellfire, freeze or accelerate time, control enemy models, and jinx their weapons.

  • Rules for new weapons, including autocannons, conversion beamers, missile launchers, bolt guns, laser weapons, plasma weapons, and Aegis suits.
  • Levels of mastery, a Terminator force list, and the Grey Knights.
  • Sixteen new Blips for Genestealer Hybrids and groups of up to six purestrain Genestealers.
  • Eight new wide corridor sections and three new geotiles for the Mission Generator from Deathwing.
  • Two new missions: Behind Enemy Lines and The Final Assault.

With its expanded forces, psychic powers, and additional scenarios, Space Hulk: Genestealer Expansion broadens the tactical possibilities of the base game while bringing Librarians, Hybrids, and Grey Knights into the struggle.
