About this board game
Space Station is a board game for 2–6 players that plays in about 60 minutes. Across six years, players expand competing space stations by building new modules, managing crew, and spending MegaCredits.
Each player begins with a core module card. At the start of every year, players receive a five-card hand, crew tokens, and new MegaCredits, with the amount of crew and money determined by the structure of their station.
During a year, players take turns choosing actions that shape their station and affect their resources. Available actions include:
- Building new module cards by paying their costs
- Using the actions provided by modules
- Playing event cards
- Repairing modules
- Passing
Players continue taking actions until everyone passes and the year ends. Victory points are then awarded across six module types, represented by six colors. For each type, the player or players with the most modules of that kind receive a victory point.
After scoring, crew tokens are reset. Players may discard a card before refilling their hands and receiving the MegaCredits for the next year. The changing structure of each station determines the resources available for its next stage of development.
At the end of the sixth year, the player with the most victory points wins. In Space Station, every new module can contribute to the growth of your station while helping you compete for recognition in different areas of development.
