Spirits of the Forest: Moonlight is an expansion for 1–4 players with a play time of 30 minutes, adding a scenario-based cooperative mode, solitaire play, and an alternative multiplayer variant.

In Moonlight, nocturnal creatures become a fundamental part of the game. Their positions in the Forest determine which tiles you can access during your turn and which moonlight bits you are able to keep.

Moonlight bits are small creatures that primarily help you score points at the end of each scenario. The more moonlight bits you collect, the more Spirits you can score points from, making them an important part of your end-of-scenario results.

• Scenario-based co-op: Work through scenarios together, with a mode that can also be played in solitaire.
• Moonlight tiles: Used in selected scenarios and in the multiplayer variant, with rules that change according to the scenario.
• Moonlight cards: Missions featuring four Spirits, requiring a majority to avoid losing points.
• Nocturnal creatures: Their Forest positions influence tile access and the moonlight bits you can keep.

Moonlight cards act as missions to accomplish. Each card shows four Spirits, and you need a majority in order to avoid losing 6 points for every unfulfilled Spirit. Ties do not count as a majority, adding a precise requirement to these objectives.

With its scenarios, changing moonlight tile rules, and additional multiplayer option, Spirits of the Forest: Moonlight expands the base game with new ways to approach the Forest, whether playing cooperatively, alone, or with up to four players.
