About this board game

Spirits of the Wild is a stone-taking game for exactly two players, designed to play in about 30 minutes. Players compete to earn the most points by collecting sets of colorful stones from a central bowl and giving them to five animals on their score boards.

Each turn, action cards let you shape the contents of the bowl and pursue your scoring plans. You can draw stones, add stones to the bowl, or use powerful spirit abilities to influence the game. The available actions create opportunities to collect the stones you need for your animals.

Coyote adds a disruptive twist to every contest. As the trickster, Coyote can distract your opponent and prevent them from giving stones to an animal of your choice. Timing this effect well may stop an important scoring move and help you take the lead.

• Collect sets of colorful stones from the central bowl.
• Give stones to five animals on your score board to earn points.
• Use action cards for drawing, adding stones, and activating spirit abilities.
• Send Coyote to block your opponent from giving stones to a chosen animal.

The game continues until five spirit stones are released from the bag. At that point, players add the points gained for each animal, and the player with the highest total wins.

Released in 2018, Spirits of the Wild combines stone collection, set scoring, special abilities, and opponent disruption in a focused two-player experience. Every stone and action can matter as you work toward the strongest final score.
