Splendor: Guillaume Budé Promo Noble is a promotional noble card for 2–4 players, designed for games of Splendor with a typical play time of 30 minutes. Released in 2017, it adds a distinct noble requirement to the base game’s noble selection.

To claim Guillaume Budé, a player must have 4 blue and 4 red. The noble is worth 3 points, making it a clearly defined target for players building toward those two colors.

Guillaume Budé works like any other noble in Splendor. Simply mix it into a game that includes nobles, then use it according to the normal noble rules.

This promo was included in the Brettspiel Adventskalender 2017 for Day 12. The package did not include rules; instead, it contained promotional information for the Cities of Splendor expansion.

A second version was offered during the Game Boy Geek 2017 Kickstarter campaign. It had the same function and requirements as the Adventskalender version, but featured different artwork. The Game Boy Geek version was later available again during the 2021 Kickstarter campaign.

Although Guillaume Budé is a small addition, it provides another noble objective for eligible Splendor games. Remember that this card cannot be used with the Cities of Splendor module from the Cities of Splendor expansion.
