About this board game

Split (Revised Edition) is a 2–6 player game with an approximately 45-minute play time, focused on collecting matches and earning the most points.

Unlike the previous edition, this revised version no longer asks players to connect across a board; the board is not included. Instead, players use a special scoresheet to track points while collecting three types of matches: perfect, strong, and weak.

Each match type provides its own special action. Perfect matches let a player force another player to fill in a negative box on that player’s scoresheet. Strong matches allow the player to draw a card from the draw pile, while weak matches let the player exchange matches of the same type.

More than one match may be made during a turn, creating opportunities to combine scoring progress with useful actions. Players must keep track of their collected matches and points on the dedicated scoresheet as they work toward the highest total.

With its changed objective and action-driven match types, Split (Revised Edition) offers a distinct take on the earlier version. The Hasbro edition replaces the former connection goal with a points-focused system built around perfect, strong, and weak matches.
