About this board game
Spring Meadow is a puzzle game for 1–4 players that takes about 60 minutes to play. Set in the mountains at the end of winter, it invites players to create lush meadows while carefully planning their routes around marmot burrows.
Choose meadow tiles from a central game board and place them on your mountain board. The tiles feature 0–2 holes, and skillful placement can earn extra tiles when you create or expand groups of holes. Marmot burrows add restrictions that must be considered as your meadow grows.
- Place meadow tiles in 49 shapes, drawn from a total of 172 tiles.
- Create or expand groups of holes to receive extra tiles.
- Watch out for marmot burrows that can restrict tile placement.
- Compete for hiking pins through scoring based on the players’ meadow-tile selections.
Scoring takes place according to the selection of meadow tiles from the central game board. The player with the largest meadow during a scoring receives a hiking pin, and the first player to earn a second hiking pin during scoring wins.
Released in 2018, Spring Meadow is the grand finale of Uwe Rosenberg’s puzzle trilogy, following Cottage Garden and Indian Summer. Its complexity sits between those two games, combining familiar trilogy elements with an innovative approach and a high level of interaction.
With its changing tile choices, hole-group opportunities, and restricted spaces around the burrows, Spring Meadow offers new puzzle challenges across every game.
