About this board game

Spyfall 2 is a party game of questions, suspicion, and bluffing for 3–12 players, with each round lasting about 15 minutes. Everyone is connected to a secret location, but hidden spies are trying to work out where they are before the other players identify them.

At the start of a round, players receive cards showing the same location, while spy cards conceal the identities of those who do not know where they are. In Spyfall 2, two spies can be found at each location, making it even more challenging for the non-spy players to determine who does not belong.

Players take turns asking one another questions. A question should reveal useful information without making the location too obvious, while each answer must sound convincing and fit the situation. The spies listen carefully, trying to piece together the secret location and create a believable story when questioned.

  • Ask questions and interpret the answers.
  • Accuse another player when you think you have found a spy.
  • Let the spies attempt to identify the secret location.

At any time during the round, one player may accuse another of being a spy. If all the other players agree, the accused player reveals their identity. If a spy is uncovered, the non-spy players score points. A spy can also end the round by announcing that they know the location; a correct guess earns points for the spy.

After several rounds of guessing, deception, and careful questioning, the player with the most points wins. Released in 2016, Spyfall 2 expands the original format with enough location cards for up to twelve players and the added tension of multiple spies.
