G.I. Anvil of Victory: A Squad Leader Gamette is a two-player historical wargame with approximately 180 minutes of play, released in 1982. It expands the Squad Leader system with American fighting men, vehicles, ordnance, maps, and scenarios covering the European Theatre from 1942 to 1945.

Take command of American forces as they drive the Germans from Africa, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and across the Rhine into Germany. The game adds the complete American arsenal to your Squad Leader repertoire, inviting comparison between the greater numbers and superior gunnery control systems of American Shermans and the more lethal guns of the German Panther.

G.I. Anvil of Victory also streamlines the game system while enhancing realism. Revised German, British, and French infantry counters improve unit identification, add inherent smoke values, and distinguish squads, crews, and half-squads more clearly.

The box includes a substantial set of components:

• 1,040 two-sided 1/2-inch counters for European Theatre infantry combatants.
• 528 two-sided 5/8-inch counters for the complete U.S. World War II vehicular and ordnance order of battle.
• Illustrated scenario cards for situations 33–46.
