About this board game
Star Wars: Episode 1 – Clash of the Lightsabers is a two-player card game played in about 20 minutes, placing Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul in a decisive one-on-one duel.
Choose your side as either the Jedi Master or the Sith Lord, then face your opponent in a contest of strategy and skill. The game centers on the Final Duel and gives both players a Battle Deck to use for attacking and defending.
Each round is divided into three battles. To win the round, you must defeat your opponent in two of them. A successful round earns a point on the victory track, bringing your chosen character closer to victory.
Managing your hand is central to every confrontation. Decide when to press forward and when to concede a battle, weighing each card play against the need to win the round. The game invites you to use strategy, skill, and the Force as the duel unfolds.
- Two-player contest featuring Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn
- Three battles per round, with two wins needed to take the round
- Battle Decks for attacking and defending
- Final Duel cards and pewter figures for both characters
As the battle progresses, move your figure through the Final Duel cards toward victory. With separate 55-card Battle Decks for Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul, plus five Final Duel cards and a pewter figure for each character, Clash of the Lightsabers presents a compact card-driven interpretation of the climactic Naboo confrontation.
