Starmada: The Admiralty Edition is a starship-combat board game for 2–12 players, with games lasting about 180 minutes. Players command space fleets and attempt to reduce opposing forces to space junk in a streamlined system designed to be accessible to beginners.

The game follows a “simple, but not simplistic” philosophy. Its concise core rules are intended to keep attention on tactical decisions rather than rules interpretation, while preserving the flavor and excitement of a more complex science-fiction battle game.

The 80-page Core Rulebook includes the essential Starmada rules, including a new inertia-based movement system. Players can also choose from more than 80 options to shape their preferred version of the game, making it possible to adjust how battles are played.

Starmada: The Admiralty Edition is expanded by the Imperial Starmada Sourcebook, Starmada: Dreadnoughts, Starmada: Hammer and Claw, Starmada: Iron Stars, and the Rules Annex. It also integrates with Klingon Armada and Romulan Armada. A later edition is the Starmada Nova Rulebook.
