Storm Over Jerusalem: The Roman Siege is a two-player wargame that simulates the Roman siege of Jerusalem in 70 CE, with an approximate playing time of 180 minutes.

One player commands the Roman forces, while the other controls the Judean forces defending a city divided by years of revolt and internal conflict. As Titus and four legions arrive, rival Judean factions led by Simon bar Giora and John of Gischala face a common threat.

The game uses the Area Move system refined in Storm Over Stalingrad and Storm Over Dien Bien Phu. Tactical cards add new possibilities and uncertainty, allowing both sides to respond to the changing situation during the siege.

Jerusalem’s defenses are central to play. Additional rules cover the city walls, siege towers, Judean leaders, and other situations drawn from the historical battle. The tactical deck includes events such as “Battering Rams,” “Famine,” “Rigging the Colonnades,” and “Escape the Siege.”
