About this board game

StoryLine: Fairy Tales is a collaborative storytelling card game for 3–8 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Together, players create an original fairy tale beginning with the powerful words “Once upon a time.”

Each round, one player becomes the narrator and asks the other players for a specific type of card, such as a character, place, object, or event. The other players choose a card from their hands and use it to suggest a new direction for the developing story.

The narrator selects the card they like most and awards its player a point. Players are encouraged not only to contribute cards, but also to embellish on them as the narrative unfolds. This creates a shared tale filled with adventures, magic, enchanted creatures, mysterious transformations, and far-off lands.
