About this board game

Stratego Waterloo is a tactical board game for 2 players with an approximately 120-minute play time, placing one player in command of Napoleon and the other in command of the Duke of Wellington.

Relive and refight the Battle of Waterloo as French forces attempt to break through Wellington’s lines before the Prussian reinforcements arrive. As Wellington, stand firm and await support or seize the initiative; as Napoleon, choose whether to begin early with fewer troops or commit your entire force against the ridge.

Lead infantry and cavalry into battle, position artillery to bombard enemy positions, and use a marshal to guide troops into vital gaps. Storm or bombard the farm of Hougemont, unleash a heavy cavalry charge, and look for opportunities to sever the opposing army’s lines of communication.

• Play as Napoleon or Wellington in a two-player historical battle.
• Choose from basic, standard, or expert rules.
• Use movable terrain tiles to create fictional battles beyond Waterloo.
• Play a shorter skirmish with only half of the available pieces.

Designed to commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, the game aims to provide a strong feel for the historical conflict while leaving room for experimentation. Its flexible battlefield setup lets players explore how different deployments and decisions might change the outcome.
