Stronghold: Undead (Second Edition) is a standalone two-player strategy game with an approximately 90-minute play time, released in 2021. The Necromancer leads an undead army toward the stronghold walls, seeking to seize a powerful artifact hidden within.

The Necromancer’s magical essence fades with every passing moment. To restore his powers, the undead army must breach the stronghold within eight turns. If it succeeds, the army captures the artifact and wins the game. If the stronghold withstands the assault, the Necromancer’s powers fade completely and the undead army turns to dust.

This edition re-balances the original Stronghold: Undead expansion for the second edition of Stronghold. It is presented as a standalone game, with a new board that introduces new paths for the siege and mechanisms designed around the undead forces.
