About this board game

Stuff and Nonsense is an adventure game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 40 minutes, in which you explore London without ever leaving the city.

Players move around London collecting artifacts and stories before returning to the Adventurers’ Club. There, they present made-up tales of adventure and decide which destinations they will pretend to have returned from.

The game plays something like a board game, but its board is made entirely of cards. Its central mechanics revolve around collecting sets of cards while trying to avoid meeting Professor Elemental, whose presence adds a humorous obstacle to your travels.

  • Move around a card-based version of London
  • Collect sets of artifacts and stories
  • Avoid meeting Professor Elemental
  • Invent stories of adventures and destinations

Stuff and Nonsense is filled with humorous text and whimsical illustrations by Harold Fay, giving every part of the experience a playful character. The result is a light-hearted adventure about imaginative storytelling, curious discoveries, and the art of making an expedition sound far more daring than it really was.

Released in 2015, this game invites players to embrace the wonderfully unreliable world of imaginary exploration. Gather your discoveries, return to the club, and make your story convincing enough to sound like a true adventure.
