Summoner Wars

About this board game

Summoner Wars is a fast-playing, action-packed card game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Players become powerful Summoners who lead their chosen factions in a struggle for conquest across the war-torn planet of Itharia.

Each Summoner is both mage and general. Use mysterious Summoning Stones to bring warriors to the battlefield, then combine clever tactics with devastating magic to defeat the enemy Summoner. Freeze foes in place, drain their power, or call down rains of fire as you fight for supremacy.

Every faction represents a distinct race or civilization with its own goals, warriors, powers, and abilities. Their forces create different combat possibilities, from wild-eyed Elves bent on revenge to blood-crazed Goblins determined to set the world ablaze.

Starter Sets contain two complete, battle-ready factions, allowing an opponent and you to begin playing immediately. They also include a Battle Mat, wound counters, dice, and a rulebook, providing the essential components for the fight.

The war can expand with entirely new faction decks and faction-specific expansions. Additional warriors, Summoners, abilities, and Mercenary units create more ways to customize your Faction Decks and keep opponents guessing. With its simple but deep rules set, Summoner Wars blends card play, strategic deck construction, and tactical battlefield combat into an ongoing struggle for Itharia.
