About this board game
Sunflower Valley is a creative pen-and-paper strategy game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Using a shared pool of dice, each player draws and develops their own mountain valley while competing for valuable choices.
Your drawing map is divided into colored regions containing free spots for icons. Use the dice tactically to place villages throughout the valley, then connect them with railways to earn points. Every decision helps shape your personal landscape while influencing how effectively you can score.
Sunflowers are an important part of the valley. Plant them cleverly around the mountains to earn extra rewards and cheer up your villagers. Your growing communities also need enough sheep, adding another consideration as you decide how to use the available dice.
- Draw and develop your own mountain valley.
- Use a shared pool of dice through tactical choices.
- Connect villages with railways to score points.
- Plant sunflowers around mountains for extra rewards.
- Provide enough sheep for your villagers.
The game ends when no free spots remain on any player’s drawing map. At the end of the game, the player with the highest score wins. This creates a clear finish while giving each player a personal world to complete.
Released in 2017, Sunflower Valley combines drawing, route connection, resource needs, and competition over shared dice. Grab a pen and build a colorful valley where careful planning can turn villages, railways, sunflowers, and sheep into a winning landscape.
