About this board game
SUTAKKU is a quick-playing push-your-luck dice game for 1–12 players, with turns lasting around 15 minutes. Roll dice, build the tallest stack you can, and decide when to stop before your ambition carries you too far.
On each turn, roll three dice and add two of them to your ever-climbing stack. The taller your stack becomes, the higher your potential score per turn. You can stop rolling and score your stacked dice at any time, or continue taking risks in pursuit of a more rewarding result.
That choice is at the heart of SUTAKKU. Playing cautiously can secure a score, while pushing your luck may earn more points if you succeed. Keep going too far, however, and you may end up with naught, right back where you began—much like the never-satisfied stonecutter of Japanese legend.

The game’s classic Japanese design aesthetic adds character to every turn. Its twelve premium engraved dice feature hand-inked brush art characters, and each die measures ¾ inch on a side, making them well suited to stacking.
SUTAKKU includes a cloth dice bag, a stacking board, and a scorepad. Steeped in Japanese folklore, it turns the lesson of distinguishing ambition from reaching beyond one’s means into an accessible, tactile dice challenge.
