About this board game

Swish is a pattern-recognition card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 10 minutes. Players race to spot matching combinations and claim cards before their opponents can find them.

The game includes 60 transparent cards, each showing a combination of balls and hoops in four colors. To begin, lay out 16 cards on the table. Everyone then searches the available cards at the same time, looking for a way to create a Swish.

  • Use two or more cards to create a Swish.
  • Lay the cards on top of one another in a way that makes every ball fit inside a hoop of the same color.
  • Claim the cards used, then replace them with new cards.

Because the cards are transparent, finding a Swish depends on recognizing how their shapes and colors align when combined. The challenge is not simply to notice individual symbols, but to mentally arrange multiple cards so that every ball has the correct matching hoop.

As cards are claimed and replaced, the search continues until the available combinations run out or the game ends according to the chosen level of play. The player who claims the most cards wins.

Swish includes varied levels of play, allowing players with different spatial abilities to compete. Whether you are spatially clueless or a true “Tetris-head,” this fast game puts pattern recognition and visual arrangement at the center of every round.
