About this board game

Syncanite Foundation is a deep economic strategy and area control board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 180 minutes. Set in a continent powered by syncanite, it places players in control of private armies and competing interests within the influential Syncanite Foundation.

Claim regions, secure resources, build capital, and manipulate the political landscape as you pursue a variable victory condition. There is no player elimination, and every crisis opens a different path to power. Will you engineer a revolution, establish a monopoly, unleash war, create a humanitarian triumph, or support a rising tyranny?

Each cycle unfolds across four phases. In the Conflict phase, players use military contingents to occupy regions and claim their resources. While the cold war continues, troops cannot fight, but they can displace one another; operations and doctrines can prove as important as numbers.

During the Offering phase, players buy or sell stock to raise capital, then compete in bidding contests for the continent’s dignitaries. The Parliament phase turns influence into votes, allowing players to block laws, pass favorable legislation, and attack rivals through denunciation or assassination. Finally, the Foundation phase lets each player use their unique Role to invest in infrastructure, censor media, manage democracy, steer markets, or control a faction’s military.

• War: use military force to achieve victory.
• Triage: become the people’s savior in a hero victory.
• Tyranny: face a final-boss scenario tied to the emperor’s rise.

In Syncanite Foundation, extreme operations, laws, and market activity can ignite immediate events and reshape the game. Based on the upcoming novel FLUX – ZUGZWANG, it combines conspiracy, corruption, economics, and area control into one high-stakes power struggle.
