About this board game

Taĉmento is a 2023 board game for 1–2 players, with games lasting around 10 minutes. Set in the harsh lands of Flanders, it places you in command of a squadron serving the powerful Spanish Tercio.

Your path begins with the noble art of war. In Maneuver Mode, learn how to move your troops and direct your squadron. Careful command is the first step toward becoming a worthy Maestre de Campo.

Once you have learned the fundamentals, take on Instruction Mode, a solo experience focused on rising through the ranks and proving your worth. This training prepares you to command the Tercio in its most ambitious challenge.

• Maneuver Mode: Practice moving your troops and directing your squadron.
• Instruction Mode: Progress through solo instruction and test your abilities.
• Campaign Mode: Lead the Tercio battle by battle as you expand Castilla.

In Campaign Mode, command the most powerful army in the world and face combat against heretics and infidels. Each battle contributes to the larger effort to expand Castilla, turning your battlefield decisions into part of a broader campaign.

Taĉmento presents a compact journey from trainee to commander, moving from basic troop maneuvers to the leadership of a complete tercio. Sharpen your vizcaína, take your place at the front line, and put a pike in Flanders.
