Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon – Echoes of the Past is a character-focused add-on for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes.

Designed as a Kickstarter add-on, it gives every character from all three campaigns—including Niamh—a personal achievement sheet. Each sheet presents 9 special conditions. Fulfill a condition during the game, mark it off, and read the corresponding Memory in the 24-page Echoes of the Past brochure.

These Memories add small gameplay effects, which may be positive or negative. They also deepen each character’s story of self-discovery or reconciliation while providing rewards as their achievements accumulate.

• Complete each block of three achievements to gain a Legendary Action card.
• Use each Legendary Action once for an exceptionally powerful single action, then discard it from the game.
• Trigger all 9 basic Memories to unlock a personal side-quest in the brochure.
• Complete that final challenge to earn a golden Legendary Action card with a permanent second gameplay action.

The achievement sheets can also serve as a legacy element. A hero may begin a new game with part of their story and some Heroic Feats cards already unlocked, allowing progress and personal history to carry forward.

With character-specific objectives, narrative discoveries, gameplay effects, and dramatic one-use abilities, Echoes of the Past reinforces the backstories of Tainted Grail while offering a deeper look into its world.

The add-on contains 52 Legendary Action cards—4 for each of 13 characters—and 52 Achievement Sheets, alongside the Echoes of the Past booklet.
