About this expansion

Talisman: City is a 1989 expansion for the Talisman fantasy board game, supporting 2–6 players with a listed play time of 240 minutes.

As the fifth expansion set for Talisman, it adds a new board depicting the streets, shops, and other buildings of Talisman City. Characters can leave the main adventure behind to visit distinctive locations, including the Magic Shoppe and the Armoury. Their travels may also lead to an unexpected stay in jail.

The expansion broadens the game with dozens of additional Encounter cards, Spells, and Objects, along with six new Characters. These additions bring more possibilities to journeys through the city while extending the range of cards and personalities available during play.

Talisman: City also introduces new careers for Characters to pursue. Adventurers may work toward roles such as Master Mage or King’s Champion, earning enough money to purchase special equipment or secure boat passage across the river.
