About this expansion

Tank Duel: Expansion #1 – North Africa is a World War II tank combat expansion for 1–8 players, with games lasting about 180 minutes. Released in 2021, it takes the Tank Duel system into the deserts of North Africa.

New desert terrain brings fresh battlefield challenges and rules for dust, deep sand, heat, and haze. The expansion also introduces armored cars and a range of British, Italian, and German vehicles, adding new matchups and tactical possibilities to your Tank Duel games.

• German vehicles: Panzer III Ausf. F, Panzer IV Ausf. E, PzKpfw IV Ausf. F/2, Sd.Kfz. 131 (Marder II), and Sd.Kfz. 232 Rad-8
• British vehicles: Churchill Mk. IV, Cruiser Mk. IV A13, Crusader Mk. II A15, M4A2 Sherman III, Matilda Mk. II A12, Valentine Mk. II, and Valentine Mk. VIII
• Italian vehicles: M13/40 and Semovente da 75/18

Tank Duel: North Africa includes ID Counters, allowing you to assign any ID number to each tank. This makes it possible to combine tank boards from multiple Tank Duel sets, create new tank matchups, or field four Tigers in the same battle.

Brand-new scenarios include historical scenarios that challenge your crews. Tanks and terrain from North Africa can also be combined with some scenarios from Enemy in the Crosshairs, expanding the ways to play.

The expansion supports the Robata system from Enemy in the Crosshairs, with Robata-compatible scenarios and additional rules for handling desert terrain and the new armored fighting vehicles. From Egypt to Morocco, Tank Duel: Expansion #1 – North Africa adds sun, sand, heat, and grit to the system.
