About this board game

Tap 4 is a strategic card game for 2–8 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Players compete to eliminate all their cards, with the lowest score after a series of rounds becoming the ultimate winner.

At the start of play, the first player places a card on the central Stack, preferably choosing their highest-point card. On each turn, players lay down cards from their hand or from the table, but each card must be equal to or lower in value than the cards currently on top of the Stack.

The Stack can change hands when a player completes a set of four or more identical cards or plays a TAP IN card. When this happens, the player shouts “TAPPED,” optionally gives the table a tap, moves the Stack out of play, and continues their turn. Timing your plays and managing the cards available to you are central to clearing your cards efficiently.

• Build sets: Complete groups of four or more identical cards to trigger a TAPPED moment.
• Use Trick cards: The TAP IN card acts as a wild card that lets you grab the Stack.
• Disrupt opponents: The TAPPED OUT card is passed to another player, making them lose their next turn.

Each round ends when one player eliminates all their cards. Points are tracked across multiple rounds, so a strong finish is not the only path to success: keeping your score low matters too. With its combination of descending card play, set completion, special effects, and lively table-tapping moments, Tap 4 brings a fast-moving contest to the table.

Released in 2019, Tap 4 offers a straightforward objective with tactical decisions throughout every round.
